She sits! She Crawls!

Grace has started sitting on her own. I love seeing her reach these little milestones.

She started crawling yesterday. At first she started with army crawling. After an hour she got bored with that and decided to get up on her knees. It is so fun to watch.

Nana Comes!

Nana got to come to visit for a week and a half while I got to go to Girls camp. Grace had so much fun with Nana.

Before camp we got to go shopping, go out to eat, go to Donny & Marie (for my mom, not me!) We got to swim in our pool. Grace loves the water!! She loves to splash and kick her legs! So cute!

Love the wrinkled toes!

Thanks Nana for coming so I could fulfill my calling and go camping!! We loved having you here. Please come back soon!!

6 Months!!

June 8th marked 6 months for Grace. I can't believe we have had her for half a year. Time flies!!

She has grown up so much! Since her 5 month milestone she has:

-Grown two little cute bottom teeth.
-Started to like solids. Her favorites are sweet potatoes and bananas.
-Started sitting up (thanks to her "trainer." Thanks, Carol!)
-She is so squirmy and loves to move.

What we have been up to

We went to the Ethel M Chocolate Factory with the Woods and had a blast. We toured the cactus garden (yes we are in Vegas) and watched the workers make chocolate. We even got to sample some.

Grace decided to rock climb while we were there.

We decided to travel up to Mount Charleston to scope out the sight for girls camp. Primitive. Girls camp in Vegas is very remote. Probably the most remote camping I've ever done. (we had a cafeteria, chef and a pool growing up!!) But it was cute because even though it was a bit chilly, Grace still had fun touching the trees. We thought she looked like a tree hugger.

Grace has also been a little gardener this summer. She has helped me water and grow yellow cherry and heirloom tomatoes.

She even got a hold of one. It matches her outfit.

Some fun things about Grace...

Grace is hilarious when she sleeps. She loves to put her foot up on the bars of the crib and cover herself in blankets. After she falls asleep, I have to go uncover her face because it scares me!

For several weeks, Grace had an Alfalfa hair spike on top of her head. I would smooth it down but it would just spring up again.

Grace sometimes uses her dress to hold her bottle. Genius!

Just in the past several days, Grace has ventured off the carpet. I think she loves the cold feeling of the tile.

One of Grace's favorite toys is a hanger. I stepped out of the room for a second and came back to this. I guess she likes to wear them too.
